Kangaroo Valley Anglican Church - Believe.Belong.Begin.
Our Mission

The Church of the Good Shepherd (Kangaroo Valley Anglican Church) has been sharing the good news of Jesus with the community of Kangaroo Valley since 1872.

Our mission is that people come to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Jesus says that he is 'the Way, the Truth and the Life' (John 14:6).

We hope you feel you belong when you're here and experience the love of God within a warm, friendly church community.

Our goal is also that every person may also begin to serve God and be transformed by him through trust in Jesus and regularly hearing God's word explained. To understand what Christianity is all about click here

Our Minister

Andrew Paterson is married to Cecily. They have four kids ranging in age from 19 to 8.

Andrew became a follower of Jesus at the age of 20 after reading Matthew 11:28 in the Bible. Reading that verse made Andrew want to find out about Jesus, and also find the rest Jesus was talking about in this verse.

Andrew discovered that Jesus is God, and came to Earth to die on a cross to provide Andrew with that rest and rescue (and the world too), if Andrew was to accept what Jesus had done and make Jesus the Lord of his life. Andrew gratefully accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour.

Andrew is looking forward to playing the 2019 tennis comp on Thursday nights in Kangaroo Valley after breaking his leg and ankle in 2018! He loves playing in the cricket match held every so often between east and west KV, writing and recording music, good times with family and walking through beautiful KV in the cool of the day with his wife Cecily.
